The Weeknd is back on top

Weekend’s new single “Heartless” rockets 32-1 in its first full week on the Billboard Hot 100. The Metro Boomin-produced track earns the biggest one-week debut for an R&B song this year with 30 million U.S. streams and 58,000 downloads in the week ending Dec. 5.

This marks The Weeknd’s fourth No. 1 on the Hot 100. He previously topped the chart with 2015’s “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills,” as well as 2017’s “Starboy.” To date, The Weeknd has a total of nine career Hot 100 top 10 hits.

His other single, “Blinding Lights,” debuts at No. 11 on the chart. Both tracks have earned over 550,000 consumption domestically, and over 1 million globally.

“Heartless” dethrones Post Malone’s “Circles” atop the Hot 100 after its two-week reign.

Mariah Carey rises 18-3 with her holiday staple “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which returns to its peak since Jan. 5, 2019 when it became the first top-five holiday hit on the chart in 60 years. It is also the highest-charting holiday song by a soloist in Hot 100 history.

Elsewhere in the top 10, Lizzo’s “Good as Hell” slides 3-6, and Arizona Zervas’ “Roxanne” falls to No. 7.
