Lil Uzi Vert wants no more Drama in his life
The Philly rapper spent his thanksgiving putting his label boss dj
drama on blast. Taking to Twitter, uzi addressed his long-awaited sophomore
album eternal
take, which has yet to see a release.
“I wanna let my
family know …
and I say family because all the fans left
along time ago,” he told his 5.4 million followers. “the only family stays so if
you stay I’m thankful for u we gonna party so hard in no time #ea I love
you I swear times just been crazy I'm okay now
He then took aim at DJ Drama,
who along with Don Cannon, signed him to their Generation Now imprint. “Fuck Dj
drama he broke,” Uzi said in a since-deleted tweet. “Ni**as need me 2 drop 2
pay bills. My best friend Mean Got More Money Den Drama I Swear on Everything.
He not even in the Industry. I still got love for Don Cannon with his Fake Ass 😊 ahhhhh You snake ass ni**a I wanna be just like
you when I grow up.”
Uzi has been outspoken about his unhappiness with Drama and
expressed regrets over signing to Generation Now. “We all make mistakes 2 get
better,” he tweeted in Dec. 2018. “I should have
never signed but I finna turn all this shit upside down ..you know the way it
suppose to be.
Despite their bad
blood, DJ Drama and Don Cannon have previously claimed that Uzi has their
blessing to release Eternal Atake. “Uzi should
put out EA out tomorrow or any day he wants,” said Drama. “He has me &
Cannon’s total support and blessings to drop it!”
Earlier this year, Uzi announced that he was quitting music. A
couple months later, he released his “Free Uzi” anthem and signed a management
deal with Roc Nation.
